A Coast Guard Cutter Vigilant boarding team intercepts a suspected low profile vessel with aproximately 2,183 pounds of cocaine onboard while on patrol in the Eastern Pacific Ocean Jan. 9, 2020. The removal of large quantities of contraband through interdictions such as these disrupts the operations of transnational criminal organizations, deterring violence and promoting stability of governments in the region.
