On Thursday 25th June 2020, Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft from both the Royal Air Force and the German Air Force took part in an ariel refuelling sortie as part of EX MAGDAY over the North Sea. Exercise MAGDAY is a regular training exercise that aims to increase interoperability between the participating allies. The refuelling platform for this sortie was an Royal Air Force Voyager ZZ331 operated by No 10 Squadon and flying out of RAF Brize Norton. During the sortie it refuelled a four ship of RAF Typhoons from RAF Coningsby operating under the callsign 'Razor' and a four ship of German Typhoons operating under the callsign 'Scare and Shock'. Following the refuel the Typhoons departed the vicinity of the refuelling area to continue with their exercise.
